More About OECD Studies:

In conjunction with a worldwide effort that includes the United States, the OECD reviews hundreds of key studies associated with high production volume (HPV) chemicals. The OECD List of HPV Chemicals serves as the overall priority list from which chemicals are selected for data gathering and testing and initial hazard assessment. The reports (including the Screening Information Data Set (SIDS)) are maintained by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Chemicals website that is the center for all its chemicals-related activities. The goal of UNEP's chemicals program is to make the world a safer place by helping governments take needed global actions for the sound management of chemicals, by promoting the exchange of information on chemicals, and by helping to build the capacities of countries around the world to use chemicals safely.
